Autonomous divot repair for golf courses

    Read the FAQ

Divotron is an autonomous divot repair robot for golf courses. It is designed to find divots using cameras and AI, drive to each one, and fill it with repair material. Our aim is to take on that repetition, giving your team more time for the finer details and higher-skill tasks.

Divotron Vision, our first prototype, has been tested on real turf, covering movement and material delivery. Divotron Pioneer robots for the Founding Partner Program are planned for the 2027 season. Divotron is a Canadian company working out of Velocity at the University of Waterloo.

    HOW IT WORKS

One robot, from detection to repair

Divotron is an autonomous robot designed to find and fill divots. This is how it is intended to work on your course.

    1. Find the divot

Cameras and real-time AI detect divots in the turf.

    2. Drive to it

The robot navigates between repairs and avoids obstacles along the way.

    3. Fill it

A dispenser delivers repair material into each divot.

    4. Keep going

The robot keeps filling while it has repair material and battery charge.

    Software platform

The Divotron software platform is designed to tie these steps together: real-time AI turns camera and sensor data into repair decisions, and the navigation software moves the robot from one repair to the next.

    FOUNDING PARTNER PROGRAM

Work with Divotron on your course

The Founding Partner Program lets golf courses be among the first to work with Divotron Pioneer robots. We are taking on a small number of Founding Partner courses.

Where does the robot work on a golf course?
Divotron is designed for the parts of the course where divots build up, such as tee boxes, collection areas, practice areas and driving ranges.
What is the Founding Partner Program?
Under the Founding Partner Program, Divotron Pioneer robots are planned for your course in the 2027 season. We are taking on a small number of courses, and each one gets a direct hand in shaping future Divotron robots. Contact us for program pricing.
    Where is Divotron based?
Divotron is based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and works out of Velocity, the University of Waterloo's startup incubator. The founding team completed the Velocity Summer Accelerator in 2026.
Can I buy a Divotron robot today?
Not yet. Divotron Vision, our first prototype, has been tested on real turf, covering movement and material delivery. Divotron Pioneer robots for the Founding Partner Program are planned for the 2027 season. The robot pictured on our home page is a design concept, and Divotron Pioneer differs from it.
